We already handled this homeowner's main panel outside, but the job wasn't done. Her indoor sub panel needed to go too. And when you're already doing the work, it makes sense to do it right the whole way through.

Here's what we were working with - an old sub panel with wiring that had seen better days. Disorganized, worn, and running on standard breakers that only do the bare minimum. Standard breakers trip on overloads and short circuits. That's it. They won't catch the stuff that actually starts fires or causes electrocution.

So where it made sense, we installed dual function breakers with Fire Guard Technology. These aren't your typical breakers. Fire Guard Technology detects low-level arcing and sparking - the kind that happens inside walls long before anything visible shows up. Standard breakers are completely blind to that. Arc faults are one of the leading causes of residential electrical fires, and most homeowners have no idea they're at risk. On top of that, the water-shock protection side of these breakers detects electrical leakage through water and cuts power in a fraction of a second. We're talking fast enough to prevent electrocution.

The finished panel is clean, properly labeled, and loaded with protection that goes well beyond code minimums. Every circuit is accounted for - lights, kitchen, range, water heater, washer - all clearly marked and protected by breakers that are actually doing the job they're supposed to do.

Most people never think about their sub panel until something goes wrong. But upgrading to dual function breakers with this level of protection is one of the best investments you can make in a home. It's not just about keeping the lights on - it's about making sure your family is safe while they are.
