This homeowner was already in the middle of a full kitchen cabinet replacement and decided it was the right time to swap out the old range hood for a new over-the-range microwave. Smart move. Kitchen renovations are the perfect opportunity to address the electrical side of things - and this was a job that needed to be done right.

Here's the thing about over-the-range microwaves that a lot of people don't think about. They draw a significant amount of power. Running one on a shared circuit is a recipe for tripped breakers, flickering lights, and potential overheating. The right solution is a dedicated circuit - one that serves only the microwave and nothing else. That's exactly what we ran here.

With the new cabinets already in place, we got the dedicated circuit wired in and mounted the new stainless GE microwave above the range. Everything was cleaned up and secured properly before we were done. The difference from where this kitchen started to where it ended up is significant - what was an older range hood setup with dated wood-trimmed cabinets became a clean, modern cooking space.

If you're planning a kitchen remodel, electrical work isn't something to bolt on as an afterthought. New appliances, added lighting, under-cabinet outlets - all of it should be handled before walls close up and cabinets go in. Getting us involved early in the process makes everything cleaner and safer in the long run.

Whether you're swapping in a new appliance or doing a full gut renovation, our electrical repair and outlet services are built to handle the details that make a kitchen both functional and safe. A dedicated circuit is a small investment that protects your appliances and your home.
