400-Amp Service Upgrade With Tesla EV Charger and Surge Protection

Some homes just outgrow their electrical service. When a homeowner decides to add an EV charger and wants the capacity to handle everything the modern home demands, a 100 or 200-amp service often doesn't cut it anymore. That's exactly the situation we walked into on this one.

The homeowner upgraded to a 400-amp service, which gave us the headroom to do this job right. We installed a second electrical panel alongside the existing one - giving the home dedicated capacity for new circuits without crowding the original panel. Two panels, properly sized, properly fed. From there, we mounted a Tesla Wall Connector directly in the garage.
